1066 Country Walk

Route note

From Pevensey Castle to Rye, this 51 km trail crosses the 1066 landscape through Herstmonceux, Battle, Icklesham and Winchelsea. Wartling Road, Boreham Hill and Henley's Hill each appear within the full line. Paths, tracks and unclassified roads share the course; much of the way alternates between natural ground and asphalt.
