Route note

Mottistone Gardens is the start of a 4.4 km loop through farmed countryside to the coastal cliffs at Sudmoor Point, returning inland from the sea. The route continues through Fernfield Lane, Hulverstone Lane and Military Road. Footways and tracks make up most of the route, and grass covers most of the route.
